This week’s feature is with the incredible Hollie, founder of MadebyHolliexo — a size-inclusive clothing brand where self-expression meets style. Hollie’s journey is rooted in passion, creativity, and a deep care for every person who wears her pieces. She’s a true example of what it means to lead with heart.

What’s one beauty ritual you never skip — no matter how busy you are?
Skincare!! Skincare is a form of self-care that helps me feel grounded and nourished. I like to make sure I’m always taking the time to care for my skin. It is my way of showing myself love and appreciation—it’s not just about appearance, but about honoring my well-being and creating a moment of peace in my day.

Do you have a signature lip combo?
I have my lips blushed in a natural light pink that I love to enhance with a nice clear gloss 😍

What’s one item that’s always in your bag?
Lip gloss.

With our latest gloss launch Babes Who Brunch, who would your dream brunch guest be?
Kim Kardashian, for sure! Kim truly inspires me with her drive and versatility. Balancing her businesses, media presence, kids, and law school is no small feat. I’d love to pick her brain on how she manages her time, stays focused, and continues to evolve while juggling so many roles. Her ability to reinvent herself and stay relevant is something I truly admire.

What does your perfect Sunday look like?
My perfect Sunday starts with an iced cup of matcha, cozy clothes, and my puppy by my side. I love spending the day working on my business at a relaxed pace, while also making time for self-care and self-love. It’s the ideal balance of productivity and peace, setting the tone for a positive week ahead.

Tell us about your business! What inspired you to start?
My inspiration for starting my business was rooted in a strong passion for size inclusivity. I noticed that many clothing brands lacked a true range of sizes that embraced all body types, which left a lot of people—myself included—feeling unseen.

In high school, I struggled with the frustration of “one size fits all” labels that didn’t actually fit everyone. As someone who’s always been creative and passionate about art, I felt called to combine that creativity with a mission to make a difference.

I wanted to create a brand where everyone, regardless of size, could feel confident, beautiful, and deeply loved. That vision has been my driving force from day one.

What’s been your proudest moment as a founder so far?
Seeing people genuinely embrace and feel confident in the size-inclusive aspect of my brand. Watching customers light up with joy and feel truly seen in clothing made for all bodies fills me with pride and reminds me why I started this journey.

And your most humbling lesson?
Learning to navigate burnout while balancing being a founder and working full-time at another job. Juggling both roles while trying to make time for myself has been incredibly challenging. It’s taught me the importance of boundaries, rest, and prioritizing my well-being—lessons I’m still working on every day.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a long day?
Curling up with my puppy and diving into a true crime book. There’s something comforting about being snuggled up in a cozy spot, completely immersed in a gripping story, with my furry best friend by my side. It’s the perfect way to relax and escape for a little while.

What’s a piece of advice you’d give to another woman starting out?
Never give up on yourself or your vision. If your business is something you’re truly passionate about, embrace it fully—share it with pride, talk about it often, and let that passion shine through in everything you do.

There will be challenges along the way, but stay focused and believe in your purpose. Trust that your dedication will pay off, and know that you are fully capable of reaching the success you dream of.
