Let’s start soft, what’s your go-to drink order (coffee, iced latte, tea, etc )?

I am a “Spill the Tea” kinda girl! LOL, My fav is the London Fog. I can sip on that all day.

What’s one beauty ritual you never skip — no matter how busy you are?

Warm face washing is a must, especially after a long day.

Do you have a signature lip combo? (We need the details!)

Nude is the way I choose to go, keeping my lips natural and glossy!

What’s one item that’s always in your bag?!

I can never leave home without my lipgloss (any for that matter), if I could cheat and add one more it would also be mascara. Never leave without them!

With our latest gloss launch called “Babes Who Brunch”, who would your dream brunch guest be??

Hands down my daughter. She’s my favourite girl to sit, laugh and brunch with. She always understands the assignment and has been a boss babe from birth. OMG, Anne Hathaway yes her, the next boss babe we see ourselves having brunch with. I know there would be non-stop laughter. Her style is also sophisticated and timeless. Love her to pieces.

What does your perfect Sunday look like?

Coming home from church, having ice cream, sharing laughter while taking a walk on the boardwalk with my favourite people.

Tell us about your business! What inspired you to start?

My kids are my greatest inspiration. My love for hosting parties started because of them and they are the reason why I started Blush PicniX by Lana Glasgow. As a certified Wedding and Event Planner, networking and making connections with the best in the industry was a dream come true which made planning, styling and executing my kid’s major milestones easy. I knocked each one out of the park, but my focus right now is to style Picnics and make it memorable for those who book with me.

What’s been your proudest moment as a founder so far?

Starting is my proudest moment. I have had my doubts and questioned myself even to this day. There is a famous quote: “No one is you and that’s your superpower.” My style and my vision for each client sets me apart.

And your most humbling lesson?

That it may start slow, not having anyone or support but eventually, things will pick up. “It’s not how you start but how you finish.” Remembering that things won’t happen overnight, getting clients right away, and having everything that you need to start a business comes with time.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a long day?

A warm bath, a hot cup of tea and a foot rub (which my hubby does every night) seal the day for me. 

What’s a piece of advice you’d give to another woman starting out?

You are your only competition. No one is stopping you but you.

Finish this sentence: “To me, soft living means…”

To me, soft living means romanticizing your life, your way. Living in the moment and being okay with things being simple.
