Sunday's with Her ft. Sarah @Dotsandbaubles

Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday!
This week, we’re sitting down with Sarah, the heart behind Dots and Baubles, a dreamy London, ON based boutique that blends cozy charm with bold self-expression. From her minimal morning coffee to her carefully curated shop floor, Sarah's all about intention, inspiration, and making people feel seen. In our conversation, she shares her must-have beauty rituals, her “slow morning” love language, and the heartfelt mission behind her business. This is soft living, with sparkle. ✨
Let's start soft...what's your go-to drink order (coffee, iced latte, tea, matcha, etc)?
My go to drink order is either an espresso shot or medium roast coffee with oat milk. I’ve had a simple order since I started my coffee journey based on speed and its cost effective with no sugar
What's one beauty ritual you never skip - no matter how busy you are?
I never skip my skincare- 3 step beauty routine with is cleansing, face oil and Moisturizer. I feel ready for the day if my skin is clean and moisturized.
Do you have a signature lip combo? (we need the details)
I do! I always use a lip liner same shade as my lips, Lip stain and our Da Lish tinted lip balm. Psst it’s Canadian
What's one item that's always in your bag?! A charger for my phone. I’m useless without my iPhone
With our latest gloss launch called "Babes Who Brunch", who would your dream brunch guest be??
I’d invite Marcy Gallant from Art of Alopecia she’s been a great brand ambassador and muse for Dots and Baubles.
What does your perfect Sunday look like?
A perfect Sunday includes spending time with my dog, catching up on errands and shopping at my own pace, dinner at home and spending time with my husband.
Tell us about your boutique! What inspired you to start it? How would you describe the vibe & aesthetic of your store? Where do you find your inspiration?
I started Dots and Baubles because I wanted to create a space that felt both inspiring and approachable. Where people could explore their style without pressure or pretension. I’ve always loved fashion, but even more, I love helping people find that one thing that feels like it was made for them. After years of working in retail, fashion styling and merchandising, I decided to create a boutique that reflects how I see fashion: playful, expressive, and personal.
Our Aesthetic - Think cozy and colorful, with a mix of modern essentials, throwback charm, and a little sparkle. The vibe is welcoming, like shopping with your stylish best friend who just gets what you like. We keep things light and happy, with playlists, scent, and displays all designed to make the space feel like a mini fashion wonderland.
I find my inspiration from everywhere- old Y2K magazines, art, TikTok rabbit holes, Instagram, Pinterest, conversations with customers, and small Canadian makers who are doing amazing things. I love seeing how people mix comfort with self-expression, and I build the shop around that idea. I also try to tap into the seasons, moods, themes and moments that make people want to treat themselves or someone they love.
What has been the most rewarding part of running your business?
The most rewarding part has been giving back and creating a space that reflects my values. I’m proud to support women-focused initiatives, women-owned businesses, LGBTQ+ groups, and independent artists who promote diversity and inclusion. Whether it’s through who I stock, who I collaborate with, or where I donate, it means everything to use my platform to uplift others. And if my journey inspires even one person to believe in their own dream… that’s the biggest reward of all.
What advice would you give to another woman thinking of starting their own brand or boutique?
Start before you feel ready. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to begin. Be clear about your “why,” stay true to your vision, and don’t be afraid to do things differently. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, learn as you go, and remember that slow growth is still growth. Most importantly, trust your instincts and there’s room for your voice, your story, and your style in this space.
What's one dreamy ritual or self-care practice you can't live without?
A slow morning with a cozy drink, homemade meal, good music, and time to get ready without rushing, even if it’s just 20 minutes. It’s my way of setting the tone for the day and reconnecting with myself before I dive into the chaos. Bonus points if there’s a face mist, fresh lip gloss, or something sparkly involved!
Last one, finish this sentence: "to me, soft living means.."
...honouring your peace, surrounding yourself with beauty, choosing joy in the little things and being selective on who you share your energy with.
Whether she’s sourcing from small Canadian makers or setting the vibe inside her boutique with music, scent, and a little shimmer, Sarah is building more than just a shopping experience - she’s nurturing a community.
Dots and Baubles is proof that when women lead with heart, style, and purpose, magic follows. We’re so lucky to have her in our La Sunday circle.
